Amarnath Temple is a Hindu shrine located in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The cave is situated at an altitude of 3,888 m (12,756 ft),[1] about 141 km (88 mi) from Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, reached through Pahalgam town. Inside the 40 m (130 ft) high cave, a stalagmite is formed due to the freezing of water drops that fall from the roof of the cave onto the floor and grow upward vertically from the cave floor.[4] It is considered to be a Shiva Linga by Hindus. The cave is surrounded by snowy mountains.

Vaishno Devi (also known as Mata Rani, Trikuta, Ambe and Vaishnavi) is a manifestation of the Hindu Mother Goddess, Devi.Nestled in the Trikuta mountains, Vaishno Devi Temple, 61 km from Jammu, is visited by thousands of devotees every year. Another legend says has it that more than 700 years ago, Vaishno Devi, who was a devotee of Lord Vishnu, had taken a vow of celibacy. One day another god, Bhairon Nath, saw her and chased after her.

Day : 1 Departure From Howrah By Train

Howrah at 11.55 pm by 12331 UP Himgiri Exp. for Jammu.

Day : 3 Jammu

Reach Jammu Railway Station at 12.35 pm & transfer to hotel. Evening visit Raghunath temple on foot & Return to Hotel.

Day : 4 Jammu to Srinagar

Jammu at 6.30 am for Srinagar (268 kms) via Khanabal. Reach Srinagar at 4 pm & check-in to hotel.

Day : 5 Srinagar

Srinagar at 9 am for Baltal (8997 ft) by Coach. Reach Baltal at 12.30 pm & transfer to Tent.
Night-Stay: Baltal (Tent)
Day : 6 Baltal

Baltal in the early Morning for “Amarnathji Darshan” (12756 ft). After Darshan, return to Baltal (16 km on foot - UP/DN).

Day : 7 Srinagar

Baltal at 9 am for Srinagar. Reach Srinagar at 12.30 pm & check-in to hotel.
Night-Stay:Srinagar
Day : 8 Srinagar to Katra

Srinagar at 6 am for Katra (240 kms). Reach Katra at 4.30 pm & check-in to hotel. Post dinner start for “Vaishno Devi Darshan” (14 kms. on foot one way, you may take auto upto Banganga to save 2 kms.).

Day : 9 Katra

After Darshan return to hotel in the morning. Full day rest.

Katra at 1 pm for Jammu Railway Station. Reach Jammu Railway Station at 4 pm to Board the Train by 13152 DN JAT-KOAA Exp. at 8.30 pm for Kolkata.

Reach Kolkata at 3.40 pm.
