Kedarnath is a town in Rudraprayag District in the State of Uttarakhand in India and has gained importance because of the Kedarnath Temple. It is approximately 86 kilometres from Rudraprayag, the district headquarter. It is a Nagar panchayat in the Rudraprayag district. Kedarnath is the most remote of the four Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites. It is located in the Himalayas, about 3,583 m (11,755 ft) above sea level near the Chorabari Glacier, which is the source of the Mandakini river. The town is flanked by snow-capped peaks, most prominently the Kedarnath Mountain. The nearest road head is at Gaurikund about 16 km away.

The Badrinath temple is the main attraction in the town. According to legend Shankar discovered a black stone image of Lord Badrinarayan made of Saligram stone in the Alaknanda River. He originally enshrined it in a cave near the Tapt Kund hot springs. In the sixteenth century, the King of Garhwal moved the murti to the present temple.

Arrival to Haridwar at 4.25 am.& transfer to hotel. Evening free for individual activities.

After breakfast visit Rishikesh Sight Seeing (Laxman Jhula, Temple, Ram Jhula, Gita Bahaban, Kailashana Ashram. Post Lunch visit Haridwar Local Sight Seeing (Pawandham, Bharat Mata Mandir, Kankhal & Dakshaprajapati Mandir). Return to Hotel in the evening.

Day : 5 Haridwar to Sitapur

Early Morning departure Haridwar for Sitapur (228 kms approx). Enroute breakfast & lunch. Reach Sitapur in the evening &check-in to hotel.

Early Morning departure Sitapur for Kedarnath Temple (19 km. on Foot). Enroute dry Food). Reached Kedarnath in the evening & check-in to Guest House.

After Puja in the early morning departure Kedarnath for Sitapur (19 km. on foot).Reached Sitapur in the evening.

Early Morning departure Sitapur for Badrinath. Enroute Breakfast & Lunch. Reach Badrinath in the evening & check-in to hotel.

Early Morning departure Badrinath for Joshimath. Reach Joshimath & post breakfast visit Auli by Ropeway (Party’s own cost). Return to Joshimath in the afternoon. Post Lunch proceed to Srinagar. Reached Srinagar in the late evening transfer to hotel.

Post Lunch departure Sreenagar for Haridwar Rly.Stn. Reached Haridwar in the evening to board the Train by 3010 DN Doon Exp. by 10.20 p.m. for Howrah.
