Description

Muktinath is a Vishnu temple, sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists. It is located in Muktinath Valley at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass in Mustang, Nepal. It is one of the world's highest temples (altitude 3,800 m). Within Hinduism, it is known as Mukti Kshetra, which literally means the 'place of liberation' (moksh) and is one of the Char Dham in Nepal.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day : 1 Departure From Howrah By Train

    Howrah Station at 3.45 pm by 13021 up Mithila Exp. for Raxaul.
    Night-Stay:In Train

  • Day : 2 Birgunj

    Reach Raxual at 8.25 am and Check-in to Birgunj hotel by Sumo/Tanga (6 km).
    Night-Stay:Birgunj

  • Day : 3 Birgunj to Pokhara

    Birgunj at 6.30 am for Pokhara. Reach Pokhara at 5.30 pm (262 km) & Check-in to hotel.
    Night-Stay:Pokhara

  • Day : 4 Pokhara to Jomsom

    After Breakfast proceed to Jomsom by Air (16-seater Flight). Reach Jomsom & Check-in to Hotel.
    Night-Stay:Jomsom

  • Day : 5 Jomsom

    Jomsom for Muktinath by Jeep. Muktinath Darshan (ON FOOT or by Duli @ your own cost) and Holy bath in the water Sprout. Return to hotel (49 km).
    Night-Stay:Jomsom

  • Day : 6 Pokhara

    Jomsom by Air (16-seater Flight) for Pokhara. Reach Pokhara & Check-in to hotel. After lunch proceed for Pokhara Sight Seeing (Pokhara Lake, Devis water Falls, Mahendra Cave, Bindu Basini Temple). Return to Hotel in the evening (20 km).
    Night-Stay:Pokhara

  • Day : 7 Pokhara to Birgunj.

    Pokhara at 6.30 am for Birgunj. En route lunch. Reach Birgunj at 5.30 pm & Check-in to Hotel (262 km).
    Night-Stay:Birgunj

  • Day : 8 Departure From Birgunj.

    Birjunj at 6 am for Raxaul Railway Station to Board the train 13022 Dn. Mithila Exp. for Howrah at 10 am (6 k m).
    Night-Stay:In Train

  • Day : 9 Howrah - Tour End

    Reach Howrah at 4 am
